Apple Pie Chia Pudding

This apple pie chia pudding is great as a breakfast alternative to porridge, or a sweet treat at the end of a meal. Suitable for toddlers and babies over 6 months. Simple and nutritious, change up the fruit used for different flavours and textures.

This is great as a breakfast alternative to porridge, or a sweet treat at the end of a meal.

The apple pie chia pudding has no added sugar and is lovely served with yoghurt, fruit and a pinch of cinnamon, or a drizzle of honey for babies over 12 months. So simple yet really nutritious. 

Ingredients

4 tablespoons chia seeds

190ml milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 grated apple (approx 2.5 tablespoons)

2 tablespoons full fat yoghurt

Method

  • Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly
  • Leave in fridge overnight to thicken
  • Stir thoroughly before serving to break up any clumps of chia seeds
Suitable for babies over 6 months old

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days

OPTIONAL - blend the chia seed pudding for a creamier custard consistency
